The guardians of the world

The Gods of Everfall

Six gods watch over Everfall: they protect newcomers, judge the duels and keep the memory of the world. Behind their names stand the game’s real moderators — real people who listen to every prayer.

Portrait of Sahachiel

Father of the Gods

Sahachiel

Neither good nor evil. Dark, ancient, the mightiest of all. When he appears every light goes out, even the Echoes fall silent and the other gods bow their heads. He is the creator of Everfall.

The Six

Each has an altar in the Temple of the Moon, north of the square of Everfall. Each watches over a part of the world.

Portrait of Aelira

Aelira

the Silver Lady, protector of new travellers

She is the first light you see when you arrive in Everfall. Aelira watches over those who have just woken in the world and those who are lost, and spreads her silver veil over the youngest: under her light, no one can hurt them.

Portrait of Kaldrun

Kaldrun

Lord of the Forge, god of war and judge of duels

His black anvil never cools. Kaldrun watches every honour duel from above, rewards courage and cannot stand cowards or cheats. Whoever wins ties a red ribbon on his altar.

Portrait of Vaelith

Vaelith

Keeper of Memory and of the Chronicle

Everything that happens in the world passes through her book before it enters the Chronicle. Vaelith forgets nothing: not a first, not a promise, not a wrong. She writes the history of Everfall, name by name.

Portrait of Kraeven

Kraeven

the Black-Winged Messenger, lord of events

When a hundred black feathers fall out of nowhere, Kraeven has something to say. He carries the messages of the gods and decides when the world needs a surprise: the violet rain, the red moon, the Star Merchant in the square.

Portrait of Sylvaran

Sylvaran

the Green Spirit, lord of nature

Wherever he passes, the floor fills with moss and tiny flowers. Sylvaran listens to those who respect the woods, the rivers and the beasts — and remembers who breaks a branch for nothing.

Portrait of Tacithar

Tacithar

the Silent Judge, god of justice

No one sees him, but when he comes every sound dies away. Tacithar is the god of justice: you call on him when someone behaves badly. He listens, weighs the words and decides.

How to pray

Write (or say) “pray to” and a god’s name, wherever you are — you don’t need to stand before an altar.

  1. Ask for advice

    pray to Aelira

Aelira whispers what to try next. Perfect when you have just arrived.

  2. Report someone

pray to Tacithar: Marco is insulting me

After the colon, say what is happening in your own words. Nobody in the room hears your prayer, and the latest actions of whoever you name are saved with it as evidence.

  3. Speak to a god

pray to Kaldrun: someone cheats in duels

If that god is not in the world right now, the others hear you. Sahachiel hears every prayer.

Prayers reach real people: the moderators of WONDER. They read them at once if they are in the world, and every prayer stays saved until someone resolves it.

The gods are waiting for you in Everfall.
