Is it free?
Yes. WONDER is free to play, with no ads and no trackers.
Do I need an account?
No email, no password: you just choose a name for your character. Your progress is tied to this device and browser — if you clear the site’s data, you lose access to your character.
Which languages can I play in?
Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. You write in yours; the others read you in theirs.
What is a MUD?
A Multi-User Dungeon: the online worlds made of words that MMOs grew out of. WONDER keeps the freedom of words and adds a painted world, voice, and a narrator that understands what you mean.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, in your phone’s browser or as an app. You can also speak instead of typing (in browsers that support speech recognition).
Is there AI?
An AI helps understand free-form sentences, gives the characters their voices and translates between players. But it never decides what happens: the rules of the world do.
